I cannot really write a match report as so much happened, The first game we drew 0-0 and the second game we lost 8-3.

Before the kick off the lads had there own dressing room with inspiring words from Sir Bobby and Alan Shearer, they soaked in the atmosphere and were not fazed at all. There was not many words I could say, except to play out way and enjoy every single second.

What I want to say is though each and every boy played with there heart on there sleeve, they gave it everything they had and frustrated NUFC. The boys kept each other going in 2 very high tempo matches. They never gave up and there were some fantastic saves from our captain Ethan and some amazing tackles from George, Shay, Kai and Callum who is still battling with a knee injury,

Our midfield battled every step of the way trying to turn defence into attack at every chance and passing the ball nicely. We didn't get many attacking chances but when we did we took them.

The boys were so encouraging from start to finish, they never let there heads drop once, they kept each other going, they held there heads high, smiled throughout and battled from start to finish each lad giving 110%

I am so so proud of each and everyone of those boys today they deserved to be invited to the academy and they did the Leam proud. They showed everything Leam Rangers represents and I hope they never forget this day.

To be told by an academy coach "that it was a test that we needed" for me is fantastic feedback and showed how well the boys played.
